For those who already have their details listed in the Family Services Directory, below are details about how your information is handled and what to do if you have any questions or queries.

Wakefield District Families Information Service (FIS) will help you in marketing your activity, group or service by making your information available to the public, and other local authorities, in the following ways:

• Telephone - people who ring us for information are given contact details.
• Post/Fax/Email - printed lists of organisations, services or activity providers are posted/faxed or emailed in response to enquiries.
• Face-to-face - printed lists are given to anyone who visits our offices or those people who visit our outreach events.
• Printed materials - your information may also be included in printed directories of information.
• Internet - information is made available through the Family Services Directory web pages, government and approved third party websites. Please note that information available via the internet may be accessed by people in countries and territories outside the European Union (EU) which may operate different levels of data protection than apply in the United Kingdom.

Updating your details

Once on the directory, you are welcome to update the details of your activity, group or service anytime day or night from the comfort of your own PC.

If for any reason you want to remove your information from our Directory at any time in the future you can do this by contacting the Families Information Service.

The Family Services Directory provides information for children, young people, parents, carers and practitioners from a variety of sources. If you are a childminder or an organisation that provides childcare, activities, groups or services for children, young people and families in the Wakefield District you can add your details FREE of charge to this directory.

Simply complete the online form below and we will add your details to our Directory.

This is a great way to promote your organisation to families and professionals in the district. We will actively promote your organisation in response to any phone, email, face to face or online enquiries. Your information may also be included in any printed marketing materials.

When adding your organisation to the Family Services Directory you will be giving consent for how your information can be used by the Families Information Service.
