The Service

Wakefield Parent Partnership Service provides a confidential and impartial service to parents/carers of children with SEN/disabilities.

The Service can give advice on:-

  • What to do if you are concerned about your child’s lack of progress at school
  • How to work with schools and other professionals
  • How to play your part in the planning, implementation and reviewing of your child’s IEP
  • How to make a request for a statutory assessment
  • How to prepare for an annual review meeting.

Wakefield Parent Partnership Service can also provide impartial advice, support, information and guidance to parents of children with special educational needs and disabilities, who are excluded from school.

The Wakefield Parent Partnership Service has its own policies on:-
